World's Best Specialized Hospitals 2025
Most of us will need to see a specialist at some point, whether it's an obstetrician, a cardiologist, an orthopedist or another. But seeking care outside of your primary physician can be daunting. To help patients make these important decisions, Newsweek is partnering with Statista for the fifth year to rank the World's Best Specialized Hospitals.
This year's list recognizes hospitals across 12 different medical fields—the top 300 hospitals for cardiology and oncology; the top 250 for pediatrics; the top 150 for cardiac surgery, endocrinology, gastroenterology, orthopedics and pulmonology; the top 125 for neurology, neurosurgery and urology; and the top 100 for obstetrics & gynecology.

서울아산병원이 미국 시사주간지 뉴스위크가 시행한 세계 병원 평가에서 내분비 분야 세계 3위를 비롯해 소화기 4위, 암·비뇨기 5위에 올랐다.
18일 서울아산병원에 따르면 뉴스위크는 전날(현지 시각) 글로벌 조사 기관인 스타티스타와 함께 진행한 ‘2025 임상분야별 세계 최고 병원’ 평가 결과를 발표했다. 이번 평가는 30여개 국가 의료 종사자 4만명을 대상으로 한 온라인 설문조사와 의료 기관 국제 인증 등을 기준으로 실시됐다.
서울아산병원은 특히 내분비 분야에서 3년 연속 세계 3위로 선정되면서 미국의 메이요클리닉, 하버드대 메사추세츠 종합병원 등과 어깨를 나란히 했다. 암 분야에서도 작년보다 순위가 한 계단 올라 세계 5대 암병원에 포함됐다.
한편 삼성서울병원도 암 치료 분야에서 미국 MD 앰더슨 암 센터, 미국 메모리얼 슬로언 케터링 암 센터에 이어 세계 3위에 올랐다. 이는 지난해 5위에서 2계단 올라선 기록이다. (김소영 기자 ksy@donga.com 동아일보)
